In 2018, the Mermaid Sisters found out about a little girl living in Ocala, Amelia Collins, who is battling Leukemia, believes she is a Mermaid and wanted to be one.  We went to Ocala and adopted her as our Little Mermaid Sister. We met Amelia and mom and dad, Kathryn and Christopher Collins at Chuck e Cheese and had a wonderful meeting party.  Since then the Mermaid Sisters stay in touch with the family, awarded a year family pass to Weeki Wachee, Passes to Lowry Park Zoo, gave Amelia her 9th Birthday party at Lowry Park and have provided gifts, cards etc., totaling $1,000, throughout the year.  Mermaid Sisters will continue to assist Amelia and the family.
